Wow May flew by fast. We attended the Moose Conference in Costa Mesa where we won the 5 Star Lodge award. We should all be proud of this accomplishment.
We are just at the start of summer. As we enter into June we have many things occurring.
We will get our next Block Party – Music in the Plaza on June 7th. Please remember to have your Moose ID Card ready as these are very big community events and our lodge gets extremely busy. We are excited to announce that the Women of Moose are holding their first training class on July 13th if you need to get certified for the 2HOTT. These classes are open to any Moose Lodge members.
Our District meeting/Picnic will be held on June 23rd at the Ebbetts Pass Lodge in Arnold, all are invited to attend.
For those that are interested we will be participating the Tracy Downtown 4th of July Parade. We are in need of float decorations, otter pops that we pass out to the kids and volunteers to help decorate the float. We also need people to walk in the parade.
We again ask every member to attend our general membership meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month. I know this sounds like a broken record, but you can find out important lodge information. The lodge is always looking for new ideas, input and volunteers. This is not to say we are not having any successes; we are!
This month you will see a few changes, a new stove is currently being installed and within the next 2 weeks we will have a new POS system.
Thanks to all our volunteers for doing the research on these 2 projects and helping get the jobs done.
If you are wondering what is going on around the lodge, please check us out on Facebook and Instagram or check the bulletin board in the hallway. We want you to know what’s happening and have a reason to visit the lodge every day we are open.
I know it is summer time and many are going on vacation and will be out of town, but the lodge will not survive without your continued support and attendance in lodge events. We can all work very hard, but if you as a member do not attend, the lodge cannot last forever.
In conclusion, please mark your calendars for the our District Picnic on June 23 at the Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge and come in and support our 4th of July float building project. Thank you for being a member of this great fraternity.
Fraternally,
Kim Whittington
